Ilmatar moving to Kanavaranta 1
The office property designed by Alvar Aalto at the address Kanavaranta 1 was opened to new tenants for the first time in 2023. Ilmatar will use the fourth and fifth floors of the property, connected by a staircase. On the fifth floor, there are the original, historically valuable meeting spaces that will be restored with respect in cooperation with the Finnish Heritage Agency. Other premises will be modernized in a user-oriented manner, with respect to Aalto’s legacy. Ilmatar is a Nordic energy company founded in Finland that focuses exclusively on renewable energy and is an independent electricity producer that is responsible for the entire production value chain, from project development to electricity trading. “The new premises are well suited for the space requirements of our rapidly growing company, and the valuable building by the sea is a great location for the head office of our company producing renewable, clean energy,” says Anna-Maria Palmroos, HR Director and General Counsel at Ilmatar. The property’s restaurant will open in spring 2024, and the new restaurant will be piloted by restaurateur Tommi Tuominen. A gorgeous roof terrace with a separated area for the property’s tenants for recreational use is connected to the restaurant. There are two free office spaces for rent on the first and second floors of the property. |
